Volunteer Training

Training opportunities are available for adult volunteers and girls 7th grade and older. The training courses are listed below.

PROGRAM LEVEL TRAINING

All adult volunteers serving as troop leaders are required by council policy to receive Let's Get Started and appropriate program level training within six weeks of position appointment. An adult in attendance at troop activities and on trips must be currently certified in first aid / CPR.

TRAVEL / CAMPING TRAINING PROGRESSION

Prior to traveling and camping with girls, an adult must complete the appropriate Travel / Camp Training. See pages 26-27 of the GSPB Leader’s Manual for more information.
