PROGRAM AID TRAININGS

Program Aide: Core Training

Who: Girls having completed the 7th grade

What: This is the first course in basic leadership for girls. Girls having completed this established course are registered Program Aids and may work with younger girls and troops to teach documented skills.

When: Friday, February 29 – Sunday, March 2, 2008, Check-in 8 pm Friday evening/ Check-out 11 am on Sunday morning

Where: Camp Mitre Peak, near Alpine, Texas

Why: Leadership is a tenant of the Girl Scout program and this the first formal step girls can take. From this step many other opportunities open to girls.

How Much: $30 fee - includes food, lodging and training materials

What to Bring: Sack supper/snack for Friday night, sleeping bag or bedroll, pillow, towels, personal items (soap, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrush, etc.), socks, sturdy shoes, long pants, heavy jacket, gloves, warm hat, mess kit or unbreakable cup and plate, bandana, flashlight, water bottle, paper and pen.
