January is full of fun activities, events and programs. Bring in the New Year with Girl Scouts at the Music City Mall Lock-In. A great and safe way to have fun while you celebrate the start of 2006. Come as a troop or as a family. "On My Honor Day" for the start of Cookie Sales is January 1, 2006. Remember you can remind people you will be selling cookies before that date, but don't take any orders! Let your friends and relatives know over the holidays to start thinking about how many of their favorite cookies they are going to order after the first of the year. Dust off you dancing shoes and bring your favorite dancing partner, Dad, Uncle, grandfather or other special male friend to the 10th annual Hearts and Roses Dance held at the Midland Center on Saturday, January 21, 2006. Cost is just $10.00 per person. There is a decorated dance floor, dj, snacks. Also available will be flower halos and "prom" photos with your date for an additional fee. indulgence January 27-29. The weekend is limited to 80 people, so be sure to sign up soon. Everyone stays in heated cabins, but bring a warm jacket to enjoy the outdoors as a part of this fun weekend. The cost is minimal - 20.00 for the girls and 30.00 for the leaders. This covers the cost of your stay, all your meals and all of the activities. A t-shirt is available for an extra 12.00. You must mail your registration in to the council office.
