Early Bird - April 1 - June 30, 2009
- The Power of Juniors –Troop & Family Weekend - Get ready for a weekend for Girl Scout Juniors planned by Girl Scout Juniors! This camp is all about you and discovering all the great things that camp has to offer. Bring your parents or your troop, either way you are in for a jam-packed action-filled weekend of fun. Troop Travel Training and Troop Camp Certification is not necessary. All meals and programming are provided.
May 15-17, 2009; Deadline to Register: April 24, 2009
- Dunes & Desert - Monahans Sand Dunes
Come spend the afternoon in the unique desert environment surrounding Monahans Sandhills State Park. Girls will get the  chance to meet park rangers, hike the nature trail, learn about the local plants and wildlife. Girl Scout Brownies will fulfill requirements for the Eco-Explorer Try-It and Girl Scout Juniors will complete requirements for the Earth Connections Badge. Parents must accompany girls unless previous arrangements have been made with the troop.

May 9, 2009: 1:00-2:30, feel free to stay and surf the sand afterwards

- Blue Ribbon Run
Join the Midland County Child Welfare Board in the Blue Ribbon Run – the race to end child abuse. Two of our Girl Scout Seniors are coordinating this event.
“Child Abuse is a growing problem in our community. As Girl Scouts in pursuit of our Gold Award, we are teaming up with the Midland County Child Welfare board to raise awareness and help prevent abuse.
May 2, 2009 – 6 Desta Drive
7:30 am: Registration
8:00 am: 1K Fun Run
8:15 am: 5K Run
Fees:
Early Registration: $15, including shirt (Before May 2nd)
Day of Registration: $20, including shirt (on May 2nd)
Kids 15 and under Free ($10 with shirt)
Medals will be awarded to the top five finishers in the following age groups: M/F 1-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+.
Plaques will be awarded to the fop finishers male and female
All participants in the 1K Fun Run will receive a ribbon.
A lunch of hotdogs, chips and drinks will be provided.

 Daisy Manners - Winnie-the-Pooh - For Girl Scout Daisies - Bring your favorite stuffed animal and join us for an afternoon of fun in the Hundred Acre Wood. Your adventure starts at 1:00p.m. for a lively tea party where you can soothe that “rumbly in your tumbly” before sitting down to watch Winnie-the-Pooh on stage based on the book by A.A. Milne. After the play you can meet the cast!

Are you a girl who loves the great outdoors? Do you like to experience new things and make new friends? If so then we are waiting for you! Camp Mitre Peak welcomes all girls entering grades 1-12 to spend their summer with us, be it one week or all four. The Girl Scouts of the Permian Basin extends an invitation to the girls in our neighboring councils, Zia and Rio Grande. Come experience the magic that Mitre has to offer.
