Girl Scout Troop Camping

Camp Mitre Peak offers a wide variety of camping options from sheltered cabins to open primitive tent sites. Your troop can plan onsite activities or explore the surrounding area attractions, such as Big Bend National Park, Chihuahuan Desert Research Institute, Chinati Foundation, Fort Davis National Historic Site, Marfa Mystery Lights or McDonald’s Observatory to name a few.

Reservations are required and are handled on a first-come, first-served basis. See Camp Mitre Peak Reservation Request.

GIRL SCOUT TROOP RENTAL RATES (effective 01.16.2008 and subject to change)

• 1-12 people - $15.00 per night
  
• 13-24 people - $25.00 per night
  
• 25-36 people - $40.00 per night
  
• 37-48 people - $50.00 per night

Rental price includes unit assigned sleeping quarters, shelter, bath facilities and chuckbox. For detailed information of housing options, see Camp Mitre Peak Facility Accommodations.

DEPOSITS

A non-refundable deposit equal to one night’s stay is required at the time of a confirmed reservation. Deposits can be paid by MasterCard, Visa, American Express, check or money order made payable to Camp Mitre Peak.

Remainder is due two weeks prior to event.

Reservations must be canceled in writing a minimum of two weeks prior to stay to:
