Girls that take the bold step into active leadership are setting themselves up for many rewarding experience in their futures. The first step into leadership is to learn more about their own skills, interests, and abilities. Take the lead will build confidence, self awareness, self esteem and put girls on the path of leadership for a lifetime. Take the Lead and C.I.T. will enable the participants to share their newly acquired skills and talents with younger girls. Join our leadership programs for a great start to personal growth, challenge, awareness and confidence.
- #20 Take the Lead | grades 6-7, 8 & Up | $295: Using games, role playing and hands-on activities, girls will explore their leadership strengths! Come learn your personality type and career interests along with the Good, Bad & Ugly of how to do a Job Interview! Put these skills into practice on the Challenge Course and on the plateau with a day of rappelling! Take the Lead with the Camp Council and help organize all camp activities! Studio 2B Express It! activities will be used, and the charm will be awarded following completion of the program.
- #21 Counselor-in-Training, C.I.T. I | grades 10 - 11 | $445: Girls entering the 10th or 11th grade can apply to participate in this preparatory course for working at a camp in the future. This two-year course certifies graduates to work at all types of camps across the United States and internationally, if desired. This course is recognized throughout the camp industry.
- #22 Counselor-in-Training, C.I.T. II | grades 11 12 | $295: Girls that have successfully completed the first year of the Counselor-in-Training program, are invited to apply for the final half of these courses. This counseling course prepares girls to work directly with children at camps. The Waterfront Specialty prepares girls for pool operations. Girls can choose to participate in the Unit Leadership Counseling or Waterfront with program directors recommendation.
- #23 Internship | (optional) after completion of CIT 2 | grades 11 12 | $100: Girls can choose to intern as Junior Counselors or Junior Waterfront Staff. Girl participation in the Internship is optional and must have the area directors recommendation at the completion of C.I.T. II. Junior staff will work under the direction of the Unit Staff Supervisor/Assistant Camp Director or Waterfront Director.
