Camp Sampler

These programs are for first and second time campers in grades 2–4 by the fall of 2008. Girls can choose from the Spectrum or Kaleidoscope programs based on their age. Spectrum is for first year campers and the activities sample most of what camp has to offer. Kaleidoscope is for girls who have attended Spectrum last year and are in 3rd or 4th grades. The activities are more advanced for their ages. Activities include archery, swimming, singing, crafts, cookouts, campfire, hiking, games, sports and YoYo elective activities. If you are a 2nd or 3rd grader and attending camp for the first time, Spectrum is recommended. If you are a 3rd grader attending for your second year, or a 4th grader attending for the first, then Kaleidoscope is recommended. Welcome to the magic of Mitre Peak

This program offers a well-rounded experience of Camp Mitre Peak and activities including swimming, hiking, singing, crafts, campfires, and other outdoor adventures. Spectrum campers are scheduled into most of the major camp activities based on participant age . Girls will also choose a few Elective Activities, called YoYos, to explore their personal interests.

Do you like to do everything camp has to offer, then this is your program. This is the ideal program for the camper who attended Spectrum last year. Camp has so many activities, and girls want to do it all. This program allows girls to choose from a variety of activities for the 2nd year camper. Girls that liked the Spectrum program will find Kaleidoscope to be challenging and full of additional camp experiences, like a trip to the barn to discover horsemanship. Expanded YoYo choices are offered for this program as well.
