Facility RentalsCamp Mitre Peak offers a wide variety of meeting space and housing options from sheltered cabins to open primitive tent sites. In addition, your group can plan onsite activities or explore the surrounding area attractions, such as Big Bend National Park, Chihuahuan Desert Research Institute, Chinati Foundation, Fort Davis National Historic Site, Marfa Mystery Lights or McDonalds Observatory to name a few. Onsite activities can include archery, birdwatching, hiking, horseshoe pitching, horseback riding, outdoor cooking, rappelling, stargazing, swimming, or volleyball, depending on availability. Some activities have additional fees attached. If needed, an administration office with phones, fax, copier and high speed internet service is available. Reservations are required and are handled on a first-come, first-served basis. See Camp Mitre Peak Reservation Request. Rental price includes unit assigned sleeping quarters, shelter, bath facilities and chuckbox. For detailed information of housing options, see Camp Mitre Peak Facility Accommodations. DEPOSITS A non-refundable deposit equal to one-half of total fee is required at time of confirmed reservation. Deposits can be paid by credit card, check or money order made payable to Girl Scouts of the Permian Basin. Remaining fee is due 2 weeks before event.
