Arrival at Camp
Opening Day Check-in Stations
- As you drive in the gate, stop and learn the name of the unit where your camper will be living.
- Drive to the new Laura Van Pelt Education Complex Pavilion to drop off camper's luggage and then return your car to the parking lot.
- Keep any medications, Trading Post monies, and/or mail for your camper with you.
- Walk to Station 1 inside the new Laura Van Pelt Education Complex Building and pick up your camper's health card and complete any missing information.
- Move on to Station 2 for the camper health screening. Staff members will be checking your camper's temperature, feet and hair. Turn in the health card unless you need to see the nurse.
- Visit with the nurse to leave medications or discuss any medical concerns.
- Head over to Station 3 which is the Trading Post to: 1) purchase any necessary items that might have been left at home; 2) turn in mail; 3) order a camp picture; 4) leave monies for your camper's account. You might even grab a snack!
- By this time, your camper's luggage should be at her unit living area. Hike to the unit; meet one of your camper's counselors, help settle your camper into her cabin or tent by assisting with her luggage and bedding.
- It's now time to say goodbye to your camper so she can prepare to join the FUN at the pool or corral!
- Meet the camp director at 4:00 pm for a brief orientation of your camper's fun-filled week! This is a good time for questions and answers.
Water will be available at all stations
